Meet Cindy & Michelle
We are Chartered Accountants and combined, we have over fifty years of experience in finance, accounting, tax and business management. We met as articling students at one of the large public accounting CA firms and from there our careers went separate ways. We both left public accounting shortly after getting our CA designations and spent the majority of our careers in senior finance positions at a variety of mid-sized businesses.
Now, like you, we are small business owners and each day we put our years of experience and knowledge to work to help our clients succeed in their businesses. We feel that as a business owner, your time should be focused on what you do best in order to grow your business. We are focused solely on the small business owner and, by drawing from our past business experiences, we can provide you with the information and advice that will help you make more informed decisions and keep your business heading in the direction you want it to go. Growing up I learned a lot about small business from my parents – they were owners of a couple of neighbourhood pubs and mobile home parks. Not surprising then when I found myself interested in accounting and finance. I’ve held executive-level finance positions at mid-sized companies in the financial services and hotel/real estate management industries. In that time, I had the privilege of working closely with a number of influential business leaders and gained a wealth of experience in business start-ups, strategic business planning and forecasting and accounting systems and processes.
MICHELLE MILLER, CA
What I like most about working with small business is the people side. I really like to get to know my clients, understand what drives them and their business, and from there use my years of working in business to help them succeed. Over my career, I have held senior management positions at companies in various industries including insurance, manufacturing, education, fisheries, forestry and property management. I have gained a tremendous amount of experience in the accounting field including financial reporting and process review, budgeting, financial projections, tax and government compliance.
